McGRATH GOES ROADRACING

Multi-time AMA Supercross Champion Jeremy McGrath made his pavement debut last November during a private test session at Southern California's Willow Springs Raceway. Sporting custom-made RS Taichi leathers with a chrome number one on his back, "SuperMac" circulated the 2.5-mile circuit with Yamaha roadrace regulars Tommy Hayden and Anthony Gobert. "It was awesome. Really, really fun," he enthused. "I love watching roadracing on TV, but it's more difficult than I expected. I was afraid to commit to leaning the bike over as far as it needed to he leaned. But I had a blast, and I would love to do it again." McGrath and Gobert also turned up recently at Glen Helen Raceway for a Saturday motocross event. As expected, McGrath won both motos on his YZ250, while the "Go-Show" carded 3-4 finishes on his similar bike for fourth overall. McGrath will also appear in the upcoming Disney Channel movie, Motocrossed, with fellow MXers Travis Pastrana and Steve Lamson.
