UNIDENTIFIED FLYING OBJET D'ART

After reading the “French Flyers” story in our May issue, you already know that France is home to some serious custom motorcycles. Well, add one more to that list: French magazine Moto Journal recently built a sport special that really flies! Capitalizing on the rumors that Honda is working on a streetlegal two-stroke sportbike, the editors bolted lights, mirrors and a license plate onto a twin-cylinder NSR500V GP racer, and dubbed the result an NRV500. Though the bike was portrayed as a prototype, the story was in fact an April Fools (or, as the French say, “April Fish”) joke. We were too busy drooling to laugh.
