CUSTOM HARLEYS BY DAMON

WHAT HAS MOTOCROSS retiree Damon Bradshaw been doing with his free time since walking away from the sport last September? "Flying airplanes, working with horses and working on Harleys," says the enigmatic Bradshaw, a 21-year-old resident of Mooresville, North Carolina.

Bradshaw has been seeking out old Harley-Davidsons and rebuilding them as a hobby-forprofit. “There’s an old Harley in my garage right now that me and a buddy are fixing up for fun,” says Bradshaw. “We’ll probably make $ 1500-$2000 on it, but it’s not about making money. We’re custom-painting it and everything before we sell it, then we’ll look at it and be proud in knowing we did it.” Might Bradshaw soon give up restoring streetbikes to race dirtbikes again? “I don’t

know,” responds Bradshaw. “I really can’t set a date. That’s an open question. Whether it’s tomorrow or a year from now or never, I just don’t know.”
