G.C.B. Special Racing Fork

Ted needs a new fork for his Superbike. Should you tell him about the G.C.B. Special Racing Fork, with its single, central shock absorber that has 14 adjustments for rebound damping and 6 for compression? Should you tell him about the two separate spring systems for fine-tuning? Does he need to know they retail for $2500 from Storz Performance, 1362 Tower Square #2, Ventura, CA 93003; (805) 654-8816? Nah; you buy one, and then blow his doors off.

Dynabars

Poor Ted spent his whole inheritance trying to find just the right handlebars. If only he'd known about Dynabars. The multi-adjustable bars can be repositioned by loosening only one Allen bolt and one set-screw per side, and they feature indicator marks to ensure symmetrical settings. The Supersport model retails for $99.95, and comes with its own Allen tool. Don't be like Ted; contact National Dynatronics, 334 E. 9th St., Suite 11, New York, NY 10003; (212) 982-0314.

Baja Products brace

Anyone who's had braces knows their prime function is a means of forcing the patient to make pay ments on the orthodontist's BMW. But the Brace from Baja Products is different. The ⅛-inch-thick, 6061T6 aluminum piece reinforces the stock plastic chainguard on Honda XR models, and comes with the necessary mounting hardware. Suggested price is $24.95-far cheaper than a car payment-and it should be painless to install. You can extract more information from Baja Off Road Products, 25108 Marguerite Parkway, Suite B-126, Mission Viejo, CA 92672.

Octoput Tank Pocket

"Dear me," fretted Ted, "wherever shall I put my Vuarnets, my Dunhills and this recently acquired speeding ticket?" Why, in this Octoput Tank Pocket, of course, Ted. Made of vinyl, it sticks to your bike's gas tank via suction cups, and features two pouches-one of which is removable-for your assortment of oddments. It's available in black, red or blue for $29.95 from your dealer, or contact Slope & Associates, P.O. Box 5449, Fullerton, CA 92635; (714) 871-9118.

Graydon Proline Axcalibar

Legend has it that to become King of England, Arthur had to extract Excalibur from a stone. But you can get Graydon Proline's Axcalibar a lot more easily, just by extracting money from your wallet or bank account. The heat-treated, nickelplated, chrome-moly steel axle is available for most four-wheel ATVs, for $299.95. To get yours, don't bother calling the Lady of the Lake; instead, contact Graydon Proline, 15935 Minnesota Ave., Paramount, CA 90723; (213) 531-7142.

Craftsman Pro Set 2000

Sears' latest high-rise tool condo is so big that if King Kong saw it, he'd grab Fay Wray and try to climb it. The 62-inch-tall chest and rollaway can hold 2000 lbs. in the 47-sq. ft. storage space provided by 20 foamlined drawers, and a weatherproof, locking drop-front panel helps keep your Whitworths safe and dry. The Pro Set 2000 costs $1459.98, and is available through the Sears tool catalog.
