According to sources in Great Britain the Suzuki factory will build a number of 16-valve GS 1000 cylinder heads for 1980 Formula One homologation. Formula One racing is similar in concept to AMA Superbike Production, although full fairings and more extensive modificationsare allowed. The four-valves-per-cylinder heads will be built late in 1979. says our contact.,Whether or not the heads will reach the U.S. is unknown, but count on seeing them if the AMA allows 1025cc four-stroked to compete with TZ750s in the 1980 Winston Pro Series road races.
