CZECH OUT CW'S GP EURO-TOUR III

DETAILS HAVE BEEN FInalized for Cycle World's third-annual GP Euro-Tour, which will take place August 13-22. Organized by Edelweiss Bike Travel, the tour starts in Munich, where all roads (at least the ones we’re interested in) lead to the Austrian Alps. After crossing the famous Grossglockner Pass, one of Europe’s highest, the tour heads for the Danube region, near Vienna, with rolling hills, vineyards, castles and monasteries lining the route.

Arrival in the Czech Re-

public allows time to catch Saturday practice for the Czech Grand Prix at Brno. Sunday is race day, with up to 200,000 fans cheering on riders in the 125, 250 and 500cc classes. The tour ends with a ride through the Bavarian lake district and an autobahn blast back to Munich.

Prices for the 10-day tour start at S2695, which includes use of a Suzuki GS500E or VX800, bike insurance ($650 deductible), roundtrip airfare from New York, tour guides, hotels, all breakfasts and dinners, GP tickets and a

chase/luggage van (lunch and fuel fill-ups are on you). Extra-cost bike upgrades are available from a rental fleet of 1995 standard, dual-purpose and sport-touring BMWs and Suzukis. Upgrades range from $ 150 for a BMW K75 or F650, to $280 for an RI 100RS, a K1100RS orKHOORT.
