MODEL MOTORCYCLING

Motorcycling may be a compelling activity, but there are times when, for a variety of reasons, it is not completely practical. If you find yourself in need of a two-wheeled fix at an inopportune time, a Spanish firm called Guiloy builds what you might need to take the edge off your longing. The company offers high-quality metal-and-plastic models, which are distributed in the U.S. through the Claytown Collection (7350 NW, Seventh Street, Suite 113, Miami, FL 33126; 305/264-4300). These are about 8.25 inches in length and about 4.25 inches to the tops of their windscreens. Viewed from a short distance, these models look really good, and at $35, (with other sizes priced at $11.50 and $55) the price is right. -Jon F. Thompson
