Charity run
The Blue Ridge Road Riders is sponsoring its fourth annual poker run with all proceeds going to Frederick County’s Advanced Life Support unit in Frederick, Maryland. Memorial poker run
The Lost Wheels Motorcycle Club is sponsoring a memorial poker run for the Leukemia Society of America on September 9. There will be food, beverages, games, door prizes and live music. Donations are $9 per person. Sign in at the Dutchess Mall on Route 9 in Fishkill, New York. A Honda 500 Interceptor will be the raffle prize. Motorcycling in Maine
The United Bikers of Maine are holding two rain-or-shine events: one in August and one in September. The annual poker run is on Sunday, August 19, with sign-up starting at 10:00 a.m. and continuing until noon at Ma Beane’s Lunch, on Route 201 in Skowhegan. Trophies will be awarded. Oktoberfest rally
The BMW Owners Club of San Diego has scheduled October 6-7 for its annual Oktoberfest at Crown Point, Mission Bay in San Diego. Vintage Saturday
The Old Crock’s Racing Association, in cooperation with the Mountain Racing Association, will host a race day through the streets of Steamboat Springs, Colorado on September 1 5.

Blue Knights charity run
A run for muscular dystrophy sponsored by the Blue Knights, Connecticut Chapter 11, is scheduled for Sunday, August 19. The rain date is August 26. Sign-up from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in Southington, Connecticut, at the Union 76 truck stop on Route 1-84, Exit 28. The Virago Owners Club has been reorganized and will again be producing a newsletter specifically for the Virago enthusiast.
