LEAN BACK ON A RACK
Unlike most adjustable backrests, this new innovation from Connecticut Cycle Accessories needs no tools for adjustment. The secret is a set of adjustable clamps molded of high-impact plastic. Just a simple turn of the knobs allows for free movement backwards or forwards in seconds, and locks the rest in place securely once the adjustment is made. The attached sissy bar is available with either a high or low pad, with a sewn rather than heat-stamped stitch pattern. LOW-COST CDI
Martek Products has introduced two Capacitive Discharge Ignition (CDI) units designed to replace breaker points on single-cylinder two and four-stroke engines. Called the Mototek CDI-31 and the Mototek CDI-15, the units are designed to convert any magneto or ET ignition to a high performance, solidstate ignition system capable of delivering twice the spark energy of standard breaker-point ignition systems. Model CD-31 is a compact, hard-cased black anodized box which replaces both the breaker-points and the spark coil. More economical, Model CD-15 is a polished

CYCLING STARS 'N STRIPES
A new line of easy-care, crew neck sweaters designed for street wear and riding has been introduced by Bates Industries for cycling enthusiasts.
A tight, high bulk knit assures warmth, fit and comfort. The colorfast sweaters retain their shape and will not stretch, bag or “pill” like wool—and because they are so soft, they can be worn comfortably without a shirt.
The new Bates sweaters are available for men in Extra Small through Extra Large sizes and for women in Small, Medium and Large.
Cyclists have a color choice of blue or tan. The tan body has dark brown shoulders and alternating brown and orange stars and a brown stripe on the sleeves. A rider is woven in dark brown into the lower left side at the waist. The blue body has the same design in underweaving colors of blue and red.
Amply cut so they may be worn with sport shirts, the sweaters are uneffected by the elements in terms of shrinkage. They are machine washable.
