FULL BORE ALL-WEATHER RIDING SUIT
Full Bore, the accessory division of Yankee Motor Co., has added a truly “all-weather” riding suit to its line of popular accessories. Several unusual and interesting features make this suit a desirable outfit for the casual, as well as the serious, motorcyclist.
The motorcycle suit is manufactured from a newly developed material called “Trailex,” which is manufactured to Full Bore specifications by the Travis Mills Corp. This material is reported to have a tear strength six times greater than other fabrics used for motorcycle suits, an abrasion resistance three times greater than any other suit (some seven times greater than nylon, for instance), and a high degree of heat resistance. This prevents getting holes burned in the suit if you lean against a hot exhaust pipe for a few seconds.

Maximum comfort is assured by “scientifically controlled porosity,” which gives a high amount of wind resistance while allowing “breathability”—lett^fc the wearer’s body heat and cool its^i naturally. Initial water repellency is excellent, and the suit maintains approximately 70 percent of this water resistance after washing or dry cleaning. 100 percent repellency may be regained by treating the Full Bore suit with 3M Scotchguard.

Among the features of the Full Bore suit are modern styling; rust and dirtproof Delrin zippers; a zippered, screened vent running horizontally across the back of the jacket to allow warmer-weather comfort; and several large, easily-accessible pockets, with flaps to prevent the entry of water. There is also an elastic inner belt that keeps the jacket from buffeting in the wind.
The pants have full-length zippers on the sides of the legs to allow easy dressing over other clothing, and the bottoms of the legs are flared to fit over boots. Three snaps allow a snug fit to prevent drafts. In addition, three inches of waist adjustment is permitted by the Velcro fasteners.
CYCLE WORLD has use-tested the Full Bore suit under weather conditions ranging from freezing temperatures at night, to the low 70s during the day. We’ve found that it does everything that is claimed, with amazing versatility and comfort.
Available in small, medium, med/ large, large and x-large, and in blue, dark blue, gold, white, red and orange, the Full Bore suit offers something for every motorcyclist. Details are available through Full Bore dealers or Yankee Motor Co., Full Bore Division, P.O. Box 36, Dept. CW-4, Schenectady, NY 12301.
