A REMEMBRANCE
He was a veritable fortress of road racing talent and of the qualities that make a man a man. He inspired profound awe in the foundations of men the world over—he was unique in many ways. To the sport of racing he was as dedicated as he was a dedicated husband and father. He was genuine, he was sincere, and he gave so much. Perhaps death on the racetrack was inevitable for a man so committed, and for the man who once said, “You make your own luck.” He leaves an empty spot that will never be filled—not because he was the fastest man on two wheels, not because of the accomplishments too numerous to mention—but simply because he was Calvin...and we loved him. Thanks Mr. Rayborn for it all.
