COLOGNE MOTORCYCLE SHOW
Painters or sculptors who have translated the inspirations they obtained from motorcycles into works of art are certainly not numerous, but they do exist. This is what the organizers of the IFMA in Cologne, Germany, wanted to prove. And, they were successful—organizing the paintings and sculptures alongside the classic salon exhibition of motorcycles. Information and photos on the event were supplied by Christian Christophe, writer, artist and motorcyclist.
PASTOR MARTELINO JR.
"This particular work of mine, `The Dynamics of a Motorcyclist,' was inspired by the great aspects of motorcycling-speed, freedom, wind, function, and sex," says Pastor Martelino Jr. Martelino is associated with the Sculpture Department of Franconia College, Franconia, N.H. The sculpture is lacquered fiberglass, wood, and steel.
