Ultimate off-road jacket?

THERE ARE SOME PLACES ON EARTH where you don't want to get stranded wearing the wrong gear. North Africa, Death Valley or even your local mountains are perfect examples. That’s why, when it comes to adventure riding, off-road racing or even casual outdoor recreation, versatility is paramount, especially over the course of long days in the saddle.

But what do you wear when conditions vary from cold, wet mornings to hot, dusty afternoons? In the Valdez Parka, Klim may have created the perfect offroad jacket. The Valdez combines the moisture-wicking and waterproof properties of Gore-Tex XCR fabric with heavyduty ballistic 330and 500-denier nylon to provide what is arguably the ultimate in comfort and weather protection.

Cut for a full range of mobility, the Valdez is packed with features. Large zippered vents in the underarms and across the back allow airflow in hot temperatures. Adding a fleece base layer extends the comfort range lower on the mercury. A dust skirt around the waist keeps roost out and holds the jacket in place at speed. A fleece-lined collar reduces chafing and

keeps the chill out. One interior and five exterior pockets provide plenty of storage, while waterproof YKK zippers with glove-friendly pulls seal out water.

The Valdez performs so well you may just forget you’re wearing it. Available in four color combinations-red, green, blue or black-it could be the last offroad j acket you ever buy. □
