VICTORY'S JACKPOT
TAKE ONE PART VEGAS, add a dose of Hammer and you hit the Jackpot, Victory’s latest addition to its expanding line of stylish cruisers. This musclebound custom wears the fat, 250mm-wide rear tire from the Hammer, then adds a bit of Vegas styling, a cool new headlight and a 21 -inch front wheel. Much like the Vegas and Kingpin before it, the Jackpot will also be offered in limited-edition Arlen and Cory Ness versions. Price was not available at presstime.
The rest of Victory’s line returns for the 2006 model f year with significant updates. Foremost is a revised 100-cubic-inch Freedom engine in all the Vegas-derived models. Changes of note include
helical-cut primary drive gears and a chain-driven camshaft and oil pump, all of which are directed
at reducing mechanical engine
noise. Power is said to be improved, although no figures were released. Also, crankcase width was
reduced by .4-inch, narro\\.'ing the lower frame rails, which allows for more cornering clearance in the I same custom-style package.
Even the blacked-out, lower-priced 8-Ball gets the 100-incher but, true to its budget roots, keeps the lessexpensive five-speed transmission, while all the other models get the six-speed introduced on the Hammer. Most models will be
available this fall, with the Jackpot hitting no later than spring of 2006.
