Say what you will about the Italians, but they know how to party. Two weeks after being officially unveiled to the press at the Italian Grand Prix at Mugello, the Desmosedici GP V-Four made its first public appearance in the midst of the Saturday-night festivities at World Ducati Week this past June. The response was.. well, with more than 20,000 Ducatisti in attendance at the Autodromo Misano racetrack, you can imagine what the response was! The hike is scheduled to compete in the 2003 MotoGP series with current World Superbike Champion Troy Bayliss of Aus tralia and one other rider-leading candi dates include Italians Max Biaggi and Loris Capirossi-to be named later.
