SPEEDWAY SP0RTBIKE
Umberto Borile is a man of titanic determination and creativity. In his single-man shop, he has been able to create the ultimate pure roadster in the best ’50s style. The B500CR is a beautiful piece of the most inspired craftsmanship–a neat, compact machine created around a speedway-conquering GM 500 engine that produces a solid 58 bhp at 6800 rpm. The innovative aluminum chassis spans a 54.3-inch wheelbase, sits the rider 31.9 inches above the ground and uses stable 26-degree rake/5.7-inch trail steering geometry. An inverted 41mm Ceriani fork and Brembo brakes cap off the lovely little creation, which is said to tip the scales at a mouthwatering 229 pounds dry.
