STORYTIME

Got a tale to tell? Well, here’s your chance: Suzuki is inviting motorcycle-and ATV-riding internet surfers to enter its “Tell Us Your Favorite Ride Contest.” Every month, Suzuki will select its favorite fable, with winners receiving $50 and a Suzuki hat. The stories chosen will become part of a permanent travel archive on the company’s website. For more information, point your server to www.suzuki.com, select Motorcycle & ATV, then Sweepstakes. Entries may also be mailed to Suzuki Favorite MC/ATV Ride, c/o Matrix Consultants, P.O. Box 3269, Big Bear City, CA 92314.

CARTOON CAPERS

Jim Lawson and Peter Laird, co-creators of the “graphic novel” Planet RacersLife Cycle, have teamed up to produce a second pen-and-ink epic, OffSeason. The 142-page, black-and-white sequel once again combines the pair’s passion for science fiction and motorcycles. Priced at $7.95 (plus $3 for shipping and handling), the soft-bound volume is available from Zeromayo Studios, P0. Box 417, Haydenville, MA 01039; 413/584-9372.

LONG LIVE TWO-STROKES

Okay, so street-going two-strokes haven’t been sold (legally) in the U.S. since the mid-Eighties. That doesn’t mean there’s no longer a passion for puffers. Take the RZ/RD 500 Owners Group, for example. Established a decade ago, the 130-member, international organization publishes a quarterly newsletter chock full of cool bikes, tech tips and classifieds. Word is, four-time 500cc World Champion Eddie Lawson is a card-carrying club member. Dues are $20 per year. To join, contact Wyn Belorusky, 4285 Pondapple Dr., Titusville, FL 32796; 407/268-4228.
