AN MV FOR THE PEOPLE
So, you've fallen head over heels for last month's MV Agusta F4. Too bad. The initial run of 200 (for which the company already has 7000 unsolicited inquiries!) is spoken for. If, however, you just gotta have one, there is hope: Cagiva has announced plans for a production version of the bike. Priced on par with Ducati's 916, it will be built to essentially the same specifications as the hand-built originals. Annual production should number 12,000 units by the turn of the century. Cagiva USA (215/830-3300) may campaign an F4 next season in AMA Superbike in preparation for Cagiva's assault on the FIM World Superbike Championship in the year 2000.
