DAVE CRUISES ON THE COMICS PAGE

DAVID MILLER IS A MOtorcycle-loving guy, and his comic strip character, Dave, is too. The strip, which debuted in 1992, already appears in about 200 newspapers, nationwide. In that time, Miller says the strip has prominently featured motorcycles on seven occasions.

Miller, who rides a mintcondition 1972 Kawasaki HI two-stroke Triple, says Dave is into enjoying “boy’s toys” and reading about them, but his girlfriend is more inclined to read Anne Rice’s vampire novels and what Miller calls relationship-deepening books.

“Cycle World is just what Dave likes to read,” says Miller. “Using motorcycles is a nice

way of having fun with the character.
