California Cruise-Aid
On June 23, over 1000 motorcyclists and passengers will participate in the first Cruise-Aid for Diabetes hosted by the Los Angeles Chapter, Women On Wheels Motorcycle Club. Many celebrities from television and sports will join in the ride. Registration from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Tiny Naylor’s restaurant, 3060 San Fernando Rd., Los Angeles. Riders and passengers will receive a pin, a goodie bag of surprises and an official entry pass into Camarillo Grove Park in Ventura. Live music, a barbequed chicken lunch with all the trimmings, entertainment by the Victor McLaglen Motorcycle Stunt & Drill Team, and many games and prizes will be offered to the participants. Illinois Charity Run
The Jerseypine Cruisers Motorcycle Touring Club is sponsoring a memorial poker run for cystic fibrosis on Sunday, July 7 at 10:00 a.m. This third annual event will start from the Honda House, 645 South Route 83, in Elmhurst, Illinois. Approximately 80 miles of backroads will be traveled, and troPh ies and door prizes will be awarded. All proceeds will go to the Cystic Fibrosis Research Foundation. Oregon Poker Run
The Adventurers Oregon Motorcycle Club is holding a poker run on July 27, with sign-ins starting at 9:00 a.m. until noon at Miller’s Honda Shop, 2977 Washburn Way, Klamath Falls, Oregon. British Rally
The fifth annual British and European Motorcycle Rally will be held at the Jaycee’s Campground in Plymouth, Wisconsin on July 13 and 14. Live music, games and a ride-in show will be featured as well as a raffle for a 1979 Triumph Bonneville. Camping, food and beverages are also available. New York Trivia Run
On August 4, the Queensboro> Motorcycle Club will celebrate its 75th anniversary with a Trivia Pursuit Run. Participants will follow a route sheet through a series of checkpoints where their knowledge of motorcycle trivia will be tested. Trophies will be awarded to those who correctly answer the most questions in both solo and passenger categories. Sign-in at the New York Motorcycle Shop, 222-02 Jamacia Ave., Queens Village, New York, between 1 1:00 a.m. and 12 noon.
