Harley-Davidson touring motorcycles have for years been affectionately called “hogs.” In February, a Harley-Davidson ad appeared, featuring a ceramic “hog” piggybank in the shape and design of a Harley-Davidson gas tank. The ad generated hundreds of letters and phone calls to the Harley-Davidson advertising

department, requesting to purchase the prop used in the ad.

Rather than auction off the original, the company has produced more banks which, are available exclusively through authorized Harley-Davidson dealerships at $29.95. As the saying goes, “this little piggy went to market.”

SELF-CANCELLING TURN SIGNAL

This solid-state relay is housed in an epoxy resin for weather resistance, doesn’t have points or contacts or wires, and automatically cancels turn signals on any motorcycle except Harley-Davidson. The maker claims installation in less than 20 min. without special tools or mechanical abilities. The unit weighs 2.5 oz. and measures 2.4 in. x 1.6 in. x 0.8 in. and sells for $24.30. DUNLOP SPORTS K138 REAR OFF-ROAD TIRES
