INTRODUCTION TO MOTORCYCLING

Seldom does a day pass when the Cycle World office doesn't get a stack of letters and several phone calls from motorcyclists who need basic information about motorcycling. The questions are reasonable enough. Where do I find a motorcycle riding class? What kinds of motorcycles are available? How safe is motorcycle riding? What about organized rallies? What's bracket racing? What’s the address of the Suzuki club? What do 1 do when it rains? How much front brake should I use?

The answers are all in the book. Having found lots of interested people but not a good reference work, Cycle World has produced an Introduction To Motorcycling.

It’s a 148 page magazine-size book containing 20 chapters of information about motorcycling. Besides basic information on motorcycles, how to ride and where to learn, Introduction To Motorcycling explains the kinds of motorcycle competition, and how to ride off-road. There are< chapters on maintenance, accessories, motorcycling for kids, motorcycling clubs, touring, high performance riding and safety.

This is not a book review or an advertisement, but if you’re looking for this kind of information. Introduction To Motorcycling is available for $2.50 at newsstands or from CBS Special Marketing, P.O. Box SG, Madison Heights, Mich. 48071. Mail orders should include 75 cents postage and handling per order.
