HARLEY LEATHER-LOOK HELMET
Harley-Davidson’s new helmet is covered in leather-replica vinyl with an H-D logo embossed in front. The compact design is made of fiberglass with a soft nylon lining. It’s available in sizes S,M, L and XL from Harley-Davidson dealers.
SMITH GOGGLES
Smith’s all-new goggle incorporates features not found on other goggles: the plastic frame has a split V-nose that conforms to almost any face without pinching, discomfort or looseness. Additionally, Smith’s goggles have extra foam filtering around the edges of the frame. Another inovation that’s optional is a lens vented around the sides and top. This feature is claimed to make fogging almost impossible, even when conditions are rainy or moist. Other optional lenses are polarized And anti-fog treated. Price is $19.95 from dealers.
YUASA MOTORCYCLE BATTERY CHARGER
Yuasa’s system makes battery charging easy for those who don’t use their bike on a daily basis. A special 9 in. lead with oneway plug on one end, and battery connecters on the other, is permanently mounted to the bike. The charger, with a 9 ft. lead, is simply plugged into the short lead when needed. Price is $14 from dealers.
MOTO-X FOX OBSERVED TRIALS GEAR
MX Fox has a complete line of riding gear for trials riders. The nylon pants have foam knee and shin padding to reduce bulk, yet provide adequate protection. SIMONS FORK OIL LEVEL GAUGE
S.W. Simons has a fork oil level gauge that sells for a reasonable $5.95. It’ll work on any bike, street or dirt, and sets oil levels from 4.5 to 8.5 in. with a scale that’s marked in millimeters and inches.
