TWO NEW SPECIALS FROM HUSKY

New professional riders in Husqvarna’s history have drawn more attention to the brand than Dick Burleson and Malcolm Smith, names nearly synonymous with the Swedish concern. Burleson has been National Enduro Champion three years in a row and Malcolm owns more ISDT Gold Medals than any other American.

It was only natural then for Husky to announce two new models bearing the names of two of their favorite riders, with features designed and tested by the famous pair—features that are also used and preferred by Dick and Malcolm, we might add. >

The 250 WR Malcolm Smith Gold Medal Replica has been given the once over and has lots of goodies that should make smiles appear on the faces of crosscountry competition riders.

Included are the long travel (210-mm) forks, Curnutt shocks for about 9 inches of rear suspension travel, a 38-mm Mikuni carburetor with larger volume airbox cover, solid aluminum handlebars, a tank tool bag, wide white fenders and even a new mag cover.

Dick Burleson’s 360 WR Enduro Champion Replica has many of the same features that come standard on the Malcolm model with a few additions. Since the bike is intended for enduro use, items added are for that purpose. Preston Petty headlight, number plate and taillight make the machine enduro legal and a VDO frontwheel-driven 24 mph enduro racer odometer is a special feature. A tank-mounted route card holder and handlebar-mounted route sheet holder complete the package.

Both models will be produced in limited numbers. Suggested list prices are $1795 for the 250 WR Malcolm Smith Replica and $1975 for the 360 WR Burleson special. The price of excellence is never cheap.
