SUZUKI FAIRING

UPSWEPT EXHAUST SYSTEM
New from Bassani Manufacturing is an upswept exhaust system for the Yamaha TT and XT500 Single. Bassani claims this pipe is designed to increase performance by 12 to 15 percent, and greatly improve power in low end and mid-range for woods and trail riding.
The tucked-in upswept design exhaust is said to save about 10 pounds over the stock system, and is less subject to damage than the factory low pipe. A special bend in the pipe lets it clear the large rear tires used on the TT/XT500. Two-piece construction makes installation easy. The front fender must be trimmed slightly to clear the head-pipe and on the XT500 a relocation of the battery is required. For optimum performance, some rejetting may be necessary. The pipe is finished in heat resistant flat black paint and retails for $50.

BARUFFALDI COMPETITION GOGGLES
Available through Cosmopolitan Motors is a new competition goggle by Baruffaldi. The #933 Sprint model features a molded, pliable plastic frame with a stationary clear lens and three tear-off lenses which snap to the stationary lens. Other features include a wide adjustable elastic strap, waterproof ventilation, eye-glass cutaways, and a three layer facial cushion. A lens cloth and tear-off lenses are included in the $7.95 list price and extra tear-off lenses are available for $2.25 per set of three.

KONI SHOCK COOLERS
Koni claims up to 30 percent better cooling is possible with their new Aluminum Coolers for stock shocks.

PRO-AM CHAIN TENSIONER
PRO-AM is proud of its new low maintenance chain tensioner available for Yamaha models YZ250C, YZ100A and YZ125C and Suzuki models RM125A, RM250 and RM370. Production versions of the tensioner have been tested under racing conditions and it is claimed that the tensioner and its component parts should last longer with no more than minor maintenance than comparable units now on the market.
Chain tensioner arms and mounts are machined from aluminum alloy and lightening holes reduce unsprung weight without sacrificing strength.
Sealed needle bearings are used throughout to keep maintenance at a minimum. and longer-lasting urethane roller shafts are ground and case-hardened for a close tolerance fit and low wear.

GAS-HYDRAULIC SHOCKS FROM KONI
Koni offers gas-hydraulic shock absorbers with four settings to the serious motocross competitor. Construction and design of the new Konis promise fade-free performance to 300 degrees F. The gas Konis can be used with either linear or progressive springs. A selection of new springs is available.

A COMFORTABLE CUSTOM CHOICE

ALLOY WHEEL FOR HONDA 500/550
The Lester Tire and Wheel Company introduces a cast-alloy wheel for the Honda 500/550. The new wheel features I-beam, seven-spoke construction.
Lester claims its second generation wheel to be competition proven. The pre-assembled bearing system and built-in rear drum brakes eliminate the need for additional hardware, adapters and kits. Lester wheels accommodate either tube or tubeless tires.
