Michelin’s new pilot Power 3: impressive in the wet
TYPICALLY sunny southern Portugal was wet but the rainsoaked roads allowed me to put Michelin's claims of improved wet-surface grip to the test.
Among the trio of Michelin street tires I sampled (also including Power SuperSport and Anakee III), the Pilot Power 3 impressed
me most. Designed for 85 percent street/15 percent track use, the Power 3 sport radial delivered a confidence-inspiring, feel at a quick pace on the wet mountain roads. Ideal for naked bikes, sporting standards or the mileage-conscious supersport rider, Power 3 features a High Modulus Low Shrinkage polyester casing with 2CT
on the front and 2CT+ on the rear.
The latest evolution of Micheliris dual-compound technology, 2CT+ extends the harder centertread compound beneath the softer shoulder rubber for more rigidity and improved stability when cornering or accelerating hard while leaned over.

RUCK OUT ALL OVER AGAIN
Ruckuses, Rukii, Ruckee... what's the plural of Ruckus, that stripped-down 50cc scooterfrom Honda with the pipe frame? Whatever word you use, a huge number of these bug-eyed machines made the trek from the Iliest Boutique in Los Angeles’ Little Tokyo district to Alpinestars' U.5. headquarters in Torrance, California, for the second annual Ruck Out gathering.
AStars hosted the post-ride chill and a custom Ruckus show. Extended swingarms, turbos and built motors highlighted the fun tweaks done to Honda's diminutive scooter.
