Yoshimura EPA Noise-Compliant R-77 Slip-On Exhaust
We’ve all met—or, more likely, heard— That Guy, the unconscionable cretin with the ready-for-Road-America race pipe bolted on his streetbike. Yoshimura has a quieter, more stylish alternative: an R-77 slip-on muffler ($459 to $629) that meets EPA noise-emissions requirements of 80 dB. Installation on specified models won’t violate federal law or get you thrown out of your neighborhood. The trapezoidal body is available in stainless steel, titanium or carbon fiber. End caps come in either polished stainless steel or carbon fiber. The front cap is MIG-welded, while the end cap is riveted using 304-L polished stainless steel rivets and bands.

Spectro Z-Clean Chain Lube
In motor oil, the zinc-based additive ZDDP (Zinc Dialkyl Dithio Phosphate) helps reduce wear on engine components that make metal-to-metal contact. Spectro Oils has applied that highly beneficial attribute to its new Z-Clean Chain Lube ($14.15 per can), which uses a special zinc formulation claimed to provide exceptional anti-wear protection for longer chain and sprocket life. Z-Clean does not attract dirt or grit and will not fling off, and it’s suitable for all chains, including O-, Zand Xring, on both street and off-road bikes.

Chrome Anza Jacket and Saipan Shoes
Nothing says "old school" like a simple windbreaker and a pair of canvas high-top sneakers. Maybe that's why Chrome's Anza jacket (black, sizes S-XL; $80) and Saipan shoes (black or gray, sizes 4.5-14; $80) are so popular with the custom bobber crowd. Chrome says the threepocket, water-repellant polyester Anza “makes a great layering piece to throw on under your motorcycle jacket for cutting the morning chill. Or during warmer seasons, it’s all you need.” And the Saipan with its arrest-me-red, heavy rubber sole? “This shoe is tough. Reminds us of something The Outsiders would wear.” Metal-tipped laces have their own “garages” built into the tongue, so when you’re riding, the laces won’t get hung up on the shift lever or brake pedal. A side zipper makes for easy on and off.
