NO SPARK TO ARREST
KTM may not be the first to dabble with an electric off-road motorcycle, but the Austrian company promises that its Zero Emission Motorcycle prototype embodies the company’s “Ready to Race” philosophy. Built in cooperation with Arsenal Research, the motorcycle proves that you don’t need a fuel tank, an airbox or a clutch to produce an off-road-worthy bike. The combination of ample torque and the bike’s light 195-pound weight should provide an invigorating ride from what will be an emissions free and virtually silent motorcycle. Built using the latest technology in electric motors, energy storage and output control, it is claimed to offer performance rivaling that of a conventional lightweight enduro.
