MASS-CENTRALIZED `BERG

Husaberg has taken a different approach to improving the handling of its 2009 FE enduro models. By using a 70-degree cylinder angle and moving the crankshaft nearly 4 inches higher and more than 6 inches farther back, rotating mass is now nearer to the bike’s cg. Repositioning the sohc, fuel-injected Single (available in either 448 or 565cc displacements) also upped ground clearance by 2 inches to a whopping 15.3 inches, a bonus in demanding off-road terrain. A new chrome-moly perimeter frame offers greater rigidity while a plastic subframe helps shave claimed dry weight to 247 pounds.
