YAMAHA FULLY ALLOY!
YAMAHA’S WR450F AND 250F enduro models no longer sport a shiny blue chrome-moly frame. It’s all aluminum for 2007, and although there was no word on overall weight savings, the new frame is said to lower the center of gravity for more nimble handling. In the case of the bigger bike, in addition to the new frame, the engine is brought over from the YZ450F, with trail-friendly mods for more tractability. As for the small-bore WR250F, its engine has been revised to improve midrange and top-end power. Both models receive all-new bodywork and are laced with bonuses that boost fit and finish to a new, even
higher level. Yamaha is calling this move "Before Market," as in original-equipment parts that negate the need to, buy aftermarket components. Included are such items as adjustable bar mounts, ProTaper handlebars, wider footpegs, full-coverage skidplates, wave-type brake rotors, enduro com puters and more. Maybe that's why the WR45OF's price is $7199, up $400 from last year, while. the 250F is $6399, up s,~oo.
