ANNIVERSARY SUZUKIS
COMMEMORATING 40 years of business in the United States, American Suzuki has announced three special-edition 2003 models.
Resplendent in Team Suzuki Alstare World Supersport paint and gold-colored wheels, the GSX-R600 ($8249) is mechanically unchanged. Same goes for the 184-mph-fast GSX1300R Hayabusa ($10,999), which sports a striking fireball-orange scheme with black-painted frame and swingarm. The fatfendered, hardtail-look Intruder Volusia 800 ($6799) gets pearlwhite paint with gold pinstripes, a white speedometer face with
orange backlighting, chromestudded seats and a special ignition key and fob. In addition, all three bikes come with special anniversary emblems mounted atop the upper triple-clamp. ^ “We are really proud of how far we’ve come over the past four decades,” said Mel Harris, VP of American Suzuki’s motorcycle/ATV and marine divisions. “We feel these special models are a great way to recognize our accomplishments.” -Matthew Miles
