INDIAN POW-WOW!

What could be more retro-cool than a new Indian Chief? A new Indian Chief Vintage, apparent-Vintage, apparently. The reborn bike-maker’s latest line-leader one-ups its predecessor’s already old-timey full-fendered styling, then adds uprated mechanicals. Of the lat-ter, biggest change is the 41mm Paioli fork with its smoother, more progressive action. Further acknowledging the bikes of yore, the headlight is unfettered by the chrome nacelle found on the standard Chief.

Options back in the day, the chrome fend-er tips, cop-bike windshield bookended by driving lights, engine guards, leather saddlebags, looping rear fender brace, aluminum luggage rack and fishtail muf-fler complete the visuals. Offered in Jet Black or Century Red, the Power-plus-engined Vintage retails for $24,995.
