Hot looks, cool function

WHILE A MOTORCYCLE JACKET CAN’T halt a speeding bullet, the Force Four Ballistics Jacket from Marsee Products offers plenty of protection and comfort for the high-energy rider. Representing the fourth generation of the original Marsee ballistics jacket, the new Force Four is loaded with updates.

Its outer shell is made of 1050-denier fabric, and has a high-tech reflective panel at the shoulders and around the midsection. The result is said to be plenty of abrasion resistance. We’re taking Marsee’s word on this, as we didn’t (thankfully) crash while wearing the jacket. But it’s the reflective panel that’s of particular interest. and coattail are long enough to jm keep you covered even in a full tuck. (Sizing runs small so order one size larger.)

The jacket’s beefy zippers at the front and cuffs are backed to keep out wind, while an elasticized waistband and snap-down, fleece-lined collar successfully seal out cold.

In hotter weather, the Force Four is equally comfortable. Its free-flowing ventilation system keeps you ultracool, thanks to intake vents on the arms and chest. On the lower back, two exit vents eliminate billowing.

Our take after months of warmand cold-weather riding? Hot looks, cool function.
