1999 SUZUKI MOTOCROSSERS

Okay, so Suzuki's 1999 motocrossers aren't new from the knobbies up. They are, however, tweaked sufficiently to keep high-flyers up front. Or so we're told. The $4899 RM125, for example, has a new piston, increased crankshaft inertia, more clutch capacity and revised graphics. And, like the $5649 RM250, it's equipped with a 38mm Keihin powerjet carburetor and a friction-reducing piston coating. The similarly styled 250 boasts revised exhaust port shape and timing, new crankcase and piston, reduced crankshaft inertia and a larger radiator. Both bikes are fitted with more rigid inverted forks and updated shocks with improved damping characteristics.
