You've heard of the goose that laid the golden egg, now meet the golden goose—or is it platinum? Moto Guzzi is celebrating its 75th anniversary, and to commemorate the occasion, the Italian company is producing a limited-edition California 1100i. Mechanically identical to the standard-issue 1100i, the anniversary model exudes added class with its metallic silver-and-red paint scheme, leather saddle, front fender medallion, engraved handlebar clamp, polished aluminum alternator cover and chrome-covered shocks. Only 750 of the shaft-driven, fuel-injected V-Twins will be built, a mere 100 of which are scheduled to be sold in the U.S. Suggested retail price is $11,390-just $400 more than the "everyday" California.
