KECK ENGINEERING CASES AND CYLINDERS

Building a high-performance H-D Evolution Big Twin from the crankshaft up? You might want to start with big-block cases and barrels from Keck Engineering (38887 Taylor Pkwy., N. Ridgeville, OH 44039; 216/327-2715). Both are CNC-machined from billet aluminum alloy, and the heavily finned cylinders boast a 4 ¼-inch bore and ductile-iron liners. Prices start at $4000 direct from the manufacturer.

THUNDERWEAR SEALSKINZ

Keep your feet dry with SealSkinz from Thunderwear (1060-C Calle Negocio, San Clemente, CA 92673; 714/492-1141). Manufactured by DuPont, they incorporate a waterproof, breathable membrane that is said to wick away moisture from the skin and disperse it throughout the socks. Nylon/ lycra spandex cuffs prevent loss of shape or sliding down. Three styles-a crew-length all-season ($25), an overthe-calf all-season ($32) and an insulated crew ($32)—are available in S-XL sizes.

SPY SUNGLASSES

Spy sunglasses are the products of a partnership between supercross champions Jeremy McGrath and Rick Johnson, Indy car pilots Robby Gordon and Paul Tracy, and NASCAR racer Kyle Petty. Three styless—the Strada ($80), Voltaire ($105-120) and Luna ($105-120)-are available with polished, hand-ground glass or impact-resistant polycarbonate lenses. For more information, contact your local motorcycle dealer or Spy, 6351 Corte Del Abeto, Suite A-101, Carlsbad, CA 92009; 619/431-7794.

MUZZYS ZX-6R BODYWORK

Composite fiberglass bodywork for Kawasaki’s ZX-6R is now available from Muzzys (63017 Sherman Rd., Bend, OR 97701; 503/385-0706). AMA Supersport- and Prostar drag-racing-approved, the three-piece kit was developed specifically for racing. As such, there are no cutouts for a headlight or turnsignals. A white gel-coat finish is standard, and the tailsection uses the stock seat pad. Suggested retail is $799. Mounting hardware and Dzus-fastener kits cost extra.
