The boot’s outer shell is constructed of 2mm-thick top-grain cowhide. Sandwiched between the outer shell and a lmm-thick leather liner are protective plastic heel and toe cups, a fully padded plastic shin guard and foam ankle padding. For additional support and protection, the exterior ankle-heel area is wrapped with an injection-mold-

ed plastic plate. A plastic scuff pad helps to ward off shifter rash.

If you’ve ever had a velcro-attached toe skid come adrift-we’ve lost several-you’ll surely appreciate that the Racing Tracks’ replaceable toe skids are secured via two deep-set screws.

No worries about lost footing, either. The Tracks’ foam-backed rubber soles with stepped heels are durable and provide excellent grip on footpegs and road surfaces. Thanks to the full-length nylon side zipper-covered by a velcro-backed leather flap-entry

into the boot is easy. Accordion-type leather panels above the heel and below the shin guard add to the boot’s comfort, especially when walking.
