This is another in the series of very attractive, well-written, highly informative motorcycle roadracing annuals.
What can you say? Except that it’s as good as the Motocourses that preceded it. It’s a valuable reference book. Fun to read. Pretty to look at.
Where else can you get complete specs on title-winning bikes ranging from Franco Uncini’s RG Gamma III Suzuki 500 to Stefan Dorflinger's 50cc Kreidler?
Where else can you get, in handy book form, reports of the season’s World Championship races, U.S. road racing, the Isle of Man TT, the Endurance World Championship, the top sidecar races, the Classic Bike Series and other major races?
An appendix with tables of the various 1982 World Championship standings? Tables of race-by-race results and standings? Capsule biographies of the year’s top roadracers? A comprehensive technical review of the bikes that won, the bikes that lost and the bikes that show promise?
And some of the best racing photographs ever taken? Reproduced, by the way, sharply, colorfully and in a large format. The printing is of such a high quality that even the occasional advertisement looks good.
The writing was done by some of the sport’s most knowledgeable journalists, including Cycle World’s John Ulrich.
Well worth having.
