ADAMO WINS TWO B.O.T.T. RACES

Outspoken New Yorker Jim Adamo won both the Daytona and the Talledega rounds of the Battle of the Twins by big margins, riding Reno Leoni’s Ducati.

Second to Adamo at Daytona was John Long on a BMW. Long passed Dave Roper’s Harley-Davidson on the last lap. Malcolme Tunstall was fourth at Daytona, second at Talledega, on another Ducati.

Chris Steward was far back in the pack at both races, but both times finished first in the Stock class. But even if he wasn’t first overall, Steward’s ride was the most profitable. Backed by Yamaha Motors Corp., U.S.A. on an XV920, Steward earns a $5000 bonus for every Stock class win. That’s in addition to his salary.
