KERKER KAWASAKI PIPE

There's a new Kerker exhaust system for the Kawasaki 900 and 1000 superbikes. Unlike the earlier Kerker 4-into-1, this one allows changing of oil and filter without removing the exhaust.

The new system has the same Kerker upswept megaphone design with right-hand exit, but headpipes are routed around the oil filter and drain plug. Another feature of this model is better ground clearance. The pipes are tucked toward the center of the bike so it will not scrape the ground even under hard riding conditions. By having the megaphone on the right side, the problem of dirt and oil from the chain is eliminated. Both side and center stands are retained for easy maintenance.

KAWASAKI KZ650 INTAKE VELOCITY STACKS

Bill Wirges, Inc., now offers Intake Velocity Stacks for the Kawasaki KZ650. Constructed from spun aluminum, these units are available unfiltered for performance applications or with removable fine mesh screens for street use. SAFETY BARS

Bob Beach Motorcycle Accessories now has Break-a-way safety bars manufactured by Krauser of West Germany, for BMW and Honda Gold Wing GL1000.

It is claimed the safety bar will absorb the most severe impact, yet break away before the frame bends. Krauser safety bars provide protection to the cylinders and frame, are easily installed and available in chrome or black vinyl. The pair of bars retail for approximately $59. Hi-Q Products, Inc. has introduced a line of T-shirts for motorcycle enthusiasts. The designs show motorcycle action and the American flag in the background. Stock designs include Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki and Kawasaki bikes. The manufacturer states that designs will stand up under repeated washings; they are not iron-on transfers.
