A TENT FOR TOURING
Motorcycle touring enthusiasts are offered a new type of tent which is light-weight, compact and can be put up in 30 seconds. It’s called FasTent and because of its no-poles design, it weighs only 5 lb. 14 oz. (including pegs and waterproof rain fly) and folds up to fit inside a circular stuff sack 11 in. around and five inches high. FasTent measures 8 ft. long by 54 in. wide, and is supported by a flexible frame made of a continuous loop of coiled spring steel which is constructed as part of the tent, thereby eliminating bulky poles. The tent can be put up and taken down by one person. Features include floor, rear window, inside stowage pockets, bug-proof insect netting, double slide nylon coil zippers, breathable rip-stop roof section, flame-retardant nylon and double needle, lap-felled structural seams.
