IT'S A SNAP
ILC Dover announces a new Flip-Band that converts all popular fiveand three-snap face shields to flip shields. The ILC Flip-Band features rugged construction, quality engineering and adjustable snaps to fit all popular commercial helmets and face shields. The Flip-Band provides a solid fit with the ease of a self-lubricating flip-up action. The positive two-position stop action locks the shield up or down. . . .no rattling.
Constructed of strong aluminum bands, the ILC Flip-Band will retail for a suggested $4.95. Contact ILC Dover, Dept. CW-7, 350 Pear St., Dover, DE 19901, for further info.
BOLT-ON BEAUTY
The latest thing from Jacwal, the Superchain people, is the first “bolt-on” cast alloy wheel set. Now you can save $150 or more off the cost of fitting a set of light alloy wheels to your superbike. There’s no need to buy a rear disc brake system to fit such wheels. The Jacwal 18-in.-spoke “Mags” bolt right on to Honda 750s, Kawasaki Z1s or 750 Suzukis. The rear brake hub fits the existing brake backing plate and sprocket drive. The front wheel accepts either single- or dual-disc systems.

GOODYEAR GOES MOTOCROSSING
The first of Goodyear’s Eagle line of motorcycle tires built specifically for the growing sport of motocross is the Eagle MX. The MX’s four-ply construction is designed to give a flexing sidewall that results in maximum traction on the twisting, up-and-down motocross courses. The six-pointed lug tread, more than a half-inch deep, is designed to grip in dirt, mud or gravel and to self-clean.
A look-alike companion to the MX is the Eagle D/S tire for desert racing. While the tread pattern is the same as the MX’s, the D/S tire has six plies of nylon that make it better suited to withstand the tire torture terrain of Baja. The D/S has been on the winning bikes in such endurance runs as the Baja
1000 and the Mint 400. The MX is produced in five sizes: 3.5018, 4.00-18, 4.50-18, 3.00-21 and 3.5021. The D/S is available in three: 4.00-18, 4.50-18 and 3.50-21.

The formula is said to contain additives to protect and preserve seals and virtually eliminate leaking year after year. It’s race proven.
Freedom Fork Lube contains silicone and moly in colloidal suspension. It will not settle out and dry up in the bottom of fork sliders.
Available in a 16-oz. can with a graduated lid, Freedom Fork Lube goes for a suggested retail of $2.98. For more information on this and other Freedom products, contact Freedom Industries, Dept. CW-7, 13930 Stansbury, Detroit, MI 48227.
LOOK SHARP
American Pro, a division of CBM Inc., has introduced complete, color-coordinated rider accessory outfits that feature Norstar/Munari boots, Trim Leathers and Buco helmets, plus jerseys, socks and even a protective boot bag.
Both MX and enduro type boots are being offered in this new American Pro rider accessory package. The Trim Leathers have the exclusive “expandex” vacuum system and are double-stitched for durability. The pants also feature plastic knee cups, elasticized waist band and full padding at the hips.
American Pro helmets have a matching, screw-on duckbill that is easily replaceable. A foam lining between duckbill and helmet keeps dirt from falling through. The helmet also has a double-vector strap and removable protective mouth guard.
Also included with the rider accessory outfits are open-weave-knit, moisture-absorbing, 50-percent cotton jerseys and 25-in., double-cushion socks. American Pro offers a choice of two color-coordinated combinations: black, yellow and red, or white and black. For complete details, write American Pro, Dept. CW-7, Emerald St., Keene, NH 03431.
YAMAHA GETS BASSANIS
Bassani Manufacturing announces its new quiet pipes for Yamaha RD350 and 250 models. These downswept pipes look similar to the TZ350 Road Racing pipes and fit close to the machine, giving added cornering clearance. They are designed to fit between frame tubes, not through the footpegs.
It is claimed that you will gain 12 to 15 percent hp and anywhere from 6000 on up to 10,000 rpm—plus a quiet exhaust note of 85 to 86 db—with this Bassani system.
The pipes are easily installed to your motorcycle. To extract maximum performance, some tuning or rejetting may be required. Available in hi-temp black finish, this new Bassani system sells for a suggested retail of $130 at your motorcycle dealer or from Bassani Manufacturing. Contact them at: 3726 E. Miraloma, Dept. CW-7, Anaheim, CA 92806.
