There is probably no one in the world better equipped to compile a representative series of essays on speed-way racing than three time world champion Ivan Mauger.

Although Ivan only authored two of the 23 essays himself, he has succeeded in presenting the reader with a true picture of the sport, as the riders see it themselves. Run the gamut of team racing. Find out what it takes to achieve world status. Discover what it’s like to compete behind the Iron Curtain, in Great Britain, and in the United States.

The 6V2 by 8V2-in. hardbound book sports an attractive color jacket and is illustrated throughout with black and white photographs.
