BOOK REVIEW
THE COMPLETE BOOK OF MOTOCROSS, By Jim Davis and Bob Jackson, 112 pages, published by Bagnall Publishing Co., Box 507, Lake Arrowhead, CA 92352. Price, $5.95.
Aimed at the young beginner, "The Complete Book of Moto-Cross" provides a step-by-step introduction to one of motorcycling's most colorful sports.
The authors assume a complete lack of knowledge on the part of the reader and begin with the absolute basicsincluding definition of a motocross, bike analysis, preparation and mainten ance, physical conditioning, what to wear, racing techniques, what to expect, racing strategy, and a day in the life of a racer.
The 8-1/2 by 11-in, paperback book is well illustrated with detailed photo graphs calling out information con tained in each chapter, typical com petition entry blanks, and diagrams of the more well-known motocross race tracks.
At $5.95 postpaid, the book is expensive, but perhaps worthwhile for the true beginner.-Anita Ramsay
