J-T HAND HANDLER
Each J-T Hand Handler Kit contains a quantity of adhesive-backed, cushioned material that conforms to the contour of the rider’s hands. A few drops from a bottle of Quick Stick supplied in each kit and a single application of hand handler is claimed to stay put through a full day of motocross, desert racing or enduros and prevent blisters. GRIPPER FOOTPEGS
Designed for the competition and dirt rider, Gripper footpegs are manufactured by Hoss Industries, Dept. CW-1 1, P.O. Box 154, Berea, OH 44017. The complete opening in the bottom of the peg allows mud and gravel to fall out, leaving the rider with a clean, non-slip peg. The pegs are constructed of heavy-gauge cadmium-plated steel and are available to fit most machines.
ELECTRONIC IGNITION
BUCO Products is offering an electronic motorcycle ignition system said
to improve gas mileage, increase power and acceleration and to start engines instantly regardless of cold or damp weather. It is also claimed to reduce point wear, prevent spark plug fouling and let the rider go approximately five times as far between tune-ups. Available in two models, the Model 1092 for single-cylinders uses a 4-wire connection and the Model 1092-1 for dual-cylinder engines with two sets of points offers a 7-wire connection. ELECTRONIC PROTECTION
Auto Guard is an electronic protector which can be adapted to motorcycles. It prevents theft by making it impossible to jump start or hot wire ignitions, to use master keys or other common techniques of theft. It is said to install easily in minutes. MX FRONT END
The Circle Industries “Moto-XCross” front end package is said to reduce problems of bent forks, axles and broken front end components. Consisting of a fork brace, stainless steel high fender mount and an aluminum fender which fits wheel diameters from 16 through 21 in., the package may be obtained from Circle Industries, 2536 Seaman Ave., Dept. STICK-ON LACE
A strong, permanent adhesive coating with peel-off backing sheet is claimed to make “Car Lace” easy to apply to any clean, grime-free surface. The lace comes in transparent vinyl film sheets, imprinted with either black or white lace designs, measuring 27 by 70-in., and is said to stand up to tough use, can be washed and polished and is pliable. CARB DRAIN
A replacement for the standard float bowl for the Amal Concentric carburetor features a large drain screw in the bottom to dump fuel if the engine loads up, or to remove sediment or water from the system when it causes induction problems.
